The castle was the residence of the Nobles from Verazzano, whose name is famous due to Giovanni Verazzano, born in 1485, who explored all the east cost of North America in 1524. The castle has a central tower which probably was linked to an other one, through an underground passage. Later the castle was probably transformed in a palace and was restored many times.
