The village is of ancient origin and represents one of the most picturesque place in the surroundings of S. Casciano. Here Machiavelli had his property and residence. In the Albergaccio he lived and wrote the Principe. Now, it is possible to admire a small museum dedicated to the great writer. We advise you to visit this small village and to enjoy a typical nice glass of Chianti in the famous restaurant of Albergaccio of Machiavelli while also admiring the splendid view of Tuscan landscape.
Not far from S. Andrea, there is S. Bartolomeo in Faltignano.
This splendid church possessed an interesting painting on wood, probably of Agnolo Gaddi style,
representing S. Andrea in Throne and a Madonna in Throne and Saints attributed to the school
of Filippino Lippi.Today in the church of Chiesanuova V.d.P.
