We advise you to visit this small town of a typical Medieval origin and atmosphere,
surrounded by twelvth century curtain walls linked together by fourteen towers. Monteriggioni was built by the Sienese in 1203 as a stronghold against Florence.
The external walls measure 570 mt. Its structure is very small and collected around the splendid parich church dating from the end of XIV century.
Inside the Borgo we can find many shops of Chianti wine and typical stores of antique trade.
